Ravie Nuage – When the Night is Over Part 2 (하비누아주 – 이 밤이 지나면 Part 2)

There are many Korean female indie singer-songwriters (I’m going to call it KFISS) with voices like a morningbird and who can bang out a tune or two on the acoustic guitar. What makes Ravie Nuage stand out – apart from the incomprehensible name – is 1) her songs actually have drums, and 2) the sound has more zest and punch than the average waif-like whispers that tend to dominate the field. When the Night is Over is perhaps a contradiction in that by being a little more mainstream it manages to be refreshing, but the KFISS scene needs more of this.
