EA cans Dead Space series following poor sales of Dead Space 3 – report
After foisting microtransactions and dudebro gunplay on one of the few horror franchises this generation, only to give up on the whole thing when the game didn’t sell, EA are now officially back to being the reviled publisher they were in the pre-John Riccitiello era. The halcyon days of 2007-8, when they were bringing out exciting new IPs like Mass Effect, Dead Space, Skate and Mirror’s Edge seem a long time ago.
UPDATE: EA is saying that the report is untrue. But even so the current mess over SimCity is another piece of evidence that something is deeply wrong with EA.
